Readymade Garment, Tailoring Training
Readymade Garment and Tailoring Training is another area in which women can earn money and become self-sufficient. Hence we started Readymade Garment and Tailoring training in the year 1994-95. While considering the demand for fashionable outfits, we started this training in the year 2008-09.
In response to the growing demand for fashionable and ready-to-wear clothing, a specialized module on fashion garment making was introduced in 2008–09. This addition equipped participants with modern tailoring techniques and knowledge of current fashion trends.
The training covers a wide range of skills including cutting, stitching, designing, pattern making, and finishing of garments such as kurtis, salwar suits, children’s wear, blouses, western outfits, and household items. Trainees learn on both manual and electric sewing machines, gaining confidence and precision through real-time practice.
Beyond technical skills, the program encourages self-employment and entrepreneurship. Trainees are supported to start their own tailoring units or join cooperatives and Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The program also offers job-oriented training, enabling participants to seek employment in garment industries, boutiques, or fashion outlets.
